Saab Car Club Victoria committee meetings are held on a Thursday two weeks prior to each members’ meeting.

Planned Club Events

Breakfast in The Dandenongs

Date: Sunday 30 January 2022

Location: Destiny Point Cafe

Time: Meeting at 9.15am – 9.30am

Event Details: Kick the club events off for 2022 with a relaxed breakfast catch-up at Destiny Point Cafe in The Dandenongs.  With stunning views towards Silvan Reservoir and the Yarra Ranges, Destiny Point Cafe is relaxed and friendly with some tasty menu offerings.

We should be there early enough to secure parking in the Silvan Dam Lookout car park, (above Kalorama Park & opposite Destiny Point Cafe), for a great photo opportunity. After breakfast there are some walking track nearby, the towns of Olinda and Sassafras to explore or just enjoy a drive through The Dandenongs.

RACV British & European Motoring Show (Hosted by the AOMC)

Date: Sunday 20th February, 2022

Location: Yarra Glen Racecourse, Armstrong Grove, Yarra Glen

Time: 9am – 3pm

Event Details: Incorporating the annual MG Concours
Open to all vehicles and motorbikes manufactured in Britain and Europe.

Food & drinks are available for purchase at the venue or you’re welcome to bring a picnic.

Display cars $15.00 – motorcycles $10.00 – Spectators $8.00 – RACV card holder $5.00 – Children free.

Driver Training Day – hosted by SCCV

Date: Sunday 13 March, 2022

Location: Bryant Park (Haunted Hills Hillclimb Track), Bill Schultz Drive, Yallourn.

Time: 10am – 3pm TBC

Event Details: Back by popular demand. A fun day of training and skills practice in a safe controlled environment. No ‘off road’ driving and no special licences required as this is a training event. A participants briefing will be held within the two weeks prior to this event. Further details to follow but contact the club via the ‘contact us’ page if you have any preliminary enquiries.

Food & drinks are provided on the day.

Cost: to be announced when the expression of interest is sent out.
