Saab Car Club Victoria committee meetings are held on a Thursday two weeks prior to each members’ meeting.

Planned Club Events

Maling Road Auto-classico – hosted by Maling Road Auto-classico

Date: Sunday 15 May 2022

Location: Maling Road, Canterbury

Time: Commences 10.00am

Event Details:

All sponsors, car clubs & key private entrants have reconfirmed their attendance – with over 300+ classic & exotic cars & bikes from marquees across the globe attending – will be by far the best yet!
The show displays all cars & bikes in the Historical Maling Road Shopping Village in Canterbury Victoria. Road is closed and street full of vehicles, surrounded by historical buildings, with over 70 boutique retailers, cafe’s, restaurants – where all vehicles are displayed as they should be – in their natural state for all to see.
A great day out for the family, with roaming entertainment, prizes, special offers from Traders and much more!
SCCV vehicle participation is limited to 3 display cars invited by the committee. Member attendance is encouraged to support the display cars and check out the wonderful displays.

Drive day  (Treasure hunt / vehicle orienteering)  – hosted by SCCV

Date: Sunday 22 May 2022

Location: Start point – Dandenong Basketball Centre, 270 Stud Road, Dandenong (right next to Monash Freeway)

Time: Meet time 9.30am Sharp

Event Details:Hunt for clues and follow the trail to make the most of an interactive driving experience. Sure to be a fun day and not your standard ‘out for a drive’.

We will be starting at the Dandenong Basketball Centre, 270 Stud Road, Dandenong (right next to Monash Freeway) from 9:30am. The drive will take approx. 3 hours and cover approx. 150km.

Saab weekend to Shepparton – hosted by SCCV

Date: Friday Jun 24 (afternoon/after work) – Sunday Jun 26 (after lunch) 2022

Location: City of Shepparton

Time: TBC

Event Details: Still finalizing the plans but put this weekend into your calendar.

From Friday afternoon/evening to Sunday afternoon the SCCV is planning a weekend visit to the regional City of Shepparton.

Friday will be a casual catch up with organised drives and visits to some of the wonderful venues in the town and surrounds starting on Saturday morning through until about lunchtime Sunday. You will obviously be able to join in or drop out at other times to suit other commitments you may have.
Some accommodation will be pre-booked at a centrally located motel, dinner bookings for Friday and Saturday and lunch for Saturday and Sunday.

Location: Bryant Park (Haunted Hills Hillclimb Track), Bill Schultz Drive, Yallourn.

Event Details: Unfortunately due to scheduling demands at this venue, we cannot secure a suitable date until 2023. When a date is locked in we will post it here. 

Back by popular demand. A fun day of training and skills practice in a safe controlled environment. No ‘off road’ driving and no special licences required as this is a training event. A participants briefing will be held within the two weeks prior to this event.

Food & drinks are provided on the day.
