Planned Club Events
Hanging Rock Drive and Picnic – hosted by SCCV
Date: Sunday 3rd March 2024
Location: Starting at Essendon Fields – ending at Hanging Rock.
Time: 8.30am meeting at LaManna Cafe, 10 English Street, Essendon Fields, VIC, 3041
Event Details: As a substitute event to the planned Driver Training Day in Gippsland scheduled for March 3 which unfortunately had to be cancelled, we will take a drive to Hanging Rock for a picnic lunch.
Since the time to make arrangements is short, we are still waiting to finalise some details but in essence the plan at this time is as follows:
• Meet at Essendon Fields for breakfast at LaManna Cafe. This in the grounds of Essendon Airport with lots of off street parking.
• Drive through the country via the back (sealed) roads including Riddels Creek, Gisborne and Macedon
• Visit the Gisborne Old Time Market
• Gather at Hanging Rock for a picnic lunch – BYO food, drink, tables and chairs. If you have a folding gazebo or other shelter, please bring that too. Toilets are available. Free electric BBQs are provided but are subject to availability of course so you might want to be self sufficient.
• A walk to the summit of Hanging Rock for those who wish.
• Breakfast will be at your own cost as will any other expense on the day. Entry to Hanging Rock costs $10 per vehicle. Visit this page for more details:

RSVP: Please RSVP to Gary Milburn at vicsaabsocial@gmail.com or on 0438 877 233 with the following details by next Wednesday 28/2/24 if you wish to join us. Keep an eye on your emails for further details as they develop. Further information will be circulated before the event.
